You can buy or make your own banana bread for this pudding, either way will provide a beautiful result.
What you need
3 thick slices of banana bread, cut into 1½ cm pieces
24 CADBURY Mini Creme Eggs, halved
5 eggs, lightly beaten
1¼ cups milk
1¼ cups thickened cream
1/3 cup caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon caster sugar, for sprinkling
- ARRANGE the banana bread pieces and 2/3 of the Crème Eggs into 8 ramekins or pots.
- WHISK together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar and vanilla then pour evenly into each ramekin over the chocolate and banana bread then top with remaining Creme Egg.
- PLACE the ramekins into a baking dish then pour boiling water around the ramekins to come half way up the sides. Bake in a moderate oven 180°C for 20-30 minutes or until set. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
