A classic winter pudding is all the better with Cadbury chocolate and bananas! It is a quick to make dessert with pantry ingredients.
What you need
4 eggs, lightly beaten
¼ cup caster sugar
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
10 slices wholemeal or white bread, buttered, crusts discarded, sliced in half diagonally
100g CADBURY Milk Chocolate Baking Chips
2 bananas, peeled and thinly sliced diagonally
¼ cup chopped toasted pecan nuts
1 tablespoon caster sugar, extra, for sprinkling
Cream or ice cream, for serving
- WHISK together the eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla until combined.
- DIP the bread in the milk mixture then place into a greased 2 - 2.5litre capacity deep baking dish, layering with chocolate, banana and nuts. Pour over remaining milk mixture. Press down lightly. Sprinkle with the extra sugar.
- BAKE in a moderate oven 180°C for 45-50 minutes or until set. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Spoon into bowls and serve with a dollop of cream or a scoop of ice cream. Serve immediately
